Things to do nearby

If your Campervan holiday is long enough that you want to explore there are limitless options in the Peak District but how could we mention The Peak District without mentioning some of it’s famous walking routes?
The Peaky Route
Dovedale
Dovedale offers some children friendly options with flat stretches and the river to chase sticks along.
Kinder Scout
At the other end of the spectrum, Kinder Scout is the highest point in the Peak District. Spectacular when you get there with a waterfall to discover en route
The Roaches
For the climbers amongst you The Roaches should keep you busy for more than few days but get there early as, on a nice day, it can get pretty busy with climbers.
Haddon Hall
If walking isn’t your bag but you are a bit of a history fiend, or you are just trying to escape the British rain, take a wander round Haddon Hall or enjoy the grandeur of Chatsworth House.
Hathersage Swimming Pool
A heated outdoor swimming pool that has recently been refurbished, with an adjacent pool cafe. Whether its blue skies or a cloudy day, you'll have a blast here!
Peverill Castle
Or for some history and some outdoor peak district walking combined take a look at Peverill Castle
Peak Caverns
If you have children to entertain then Peak Caverns are always a hit but be warned, they’ll want to buy souvenir rocks to bring home with them!
Peak Wildlife Park
Or the Peak Wildlife Park will have them in awe.
The Monsal Trail
The Monsal Trail is perfect for off road family cycles. We can hire you the bike rack to make transporting your bikes easy too!
Alton Towers
If the children, and you, are brave you might even squeeze in a day at Alton Towers, buy beer and burgers on the way back to aid the evening recovery!
