A little piece of paradise so close to the English border, you just can’t help but relax here. This might make it sound dull and boring but this couldn’t be further from the truth. From watersports to serious mountaineering, gentle strolls to lengthy hikes there’s much to see and do on your Campervan holiday in Wales. There is some great beer to sample too!
It is also worth keeping an eye out for the annual festival held at the pubs which usually takes place on the August Bank Holiday weekend. They know how to throw a party round here and you’ll get a warm welcome all year round.

Things to do nearby
Let's start with cycling because this one has us really puzzled. When you cycle round Lake Vyrnwy, there is some kind of eye trickery going on that makes you think you are going downhill the whole way round the lake……it doesn’t feel like it on the legs, you definitely can’t stop pedalling. We’ve not figured out yet if you go the other way round whether it feels like you are going uphill the whole way…..that just doesn’t sound as much fun. If you head to the lake then pop in for a drink at The Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa – the view from the outdoor balcony is spectacular!
